Welcome to One Night in Boston. As you'll soon see, this magazine looks a bit different than a traditional issue of Stuff@night. We're used to telling the story of Boston's nightlife in words. But for this issue, we decided to tell the story in pictures. Every photograph that you see in this magazine was taken on the evening of July 17, 2008. Our goal was simple: send a host of talented young photographers out into the city's streets, restaurants, bars, salons, and stores to capture the scene in an entirely new way. From the South End to Somerville, Brookline to Back Bay, South Boston to Harvard Square, our photographers blanketed the area and trained their lenses on nearly every facet of local nightlife. They loved what they saw; we hope you do too.
